Welcome to the Farm Store

The Early Morning Harvest farm store offers a truly unique way to shop—rooted in the land and the people who care for it. Alongside the grains we grow and mill, you’ll find honey, produce, and fresh eggs from our farm, as well as a thoughtfully curated selection of goods from fellow Iowa and Midwest farmers and business creators. Supporting sustainability doesn’t stop at our fields; we’re proud to champion the hardworking producers across Iowa and our neighboring states who share the same commitment to honest food and responsible farming.

From our Farm to your Table.

Early Morning Harvest Farm Store displaying various types of organic stone-milled flours and grains in bags and jars.

Tucked into the heart of Iowa, the Early Morning Harvest farm store first opened its doors in 2013. What began as a humble old dairy barn was lovingly turned into a cozy 13’x13’ shop, filled with just a handful of carefully chosen goods. In those early days, every product on the shelf carried a story. As the seasons passed, we slowly welcomed more offerings from fellow Iowa growers, bakers, and makers—neighbors whose hard work and passion deserved a place to be shared. Before long, our little barn shop was filled to the brim, and we began to dream about how it might grow along with the community around it.

In the spring of 2022, those dreams took shape as we expanded the space to create a warmer, more welcoming place for folks to gather and shop. The new space allowed us to add a refrigerated case and freezer for fresh foods, a smoother checkout experience, and gentle lighting that makes the whole space feel a little more like home.

Today, our shelves hold an even wider collection of thoughtfully made goods from farmers, bakers, and artisans across Iowa. It’s a true joy to support these dedicated producers—especially the small, hardworking makers whose products are crafted with care but rarely find their way onto larger store shelves. Sharing their work with our community is something we’re deeply proud of, because when neighbors support neighbors, our whole Iowa community grows stronger.

Early morning harvest grows produce in aquaponic, hydroponic, and seasonal greenhouses, plus an outdoor garden and an orchard. Its aquaponics greenhouse is heated, which means produce harvesting happens year-round! We follow organic practices and believe in raising produce without harmful chemicals or pesticides. Our starter seeds are non-GMO and most are organic. (The garden and greenhouses are not certified organic.)
